A visit from Santa

We went Aunt Kristin & Uncle Todd's House tonight and had a visit form Santa. Ethan was so surprised. Aidan liked him from a distance. But when we put him on his lap he screamed. He is going through the stranger danger phase. Ethan asked Santa for a vacuum again and I had to remind him that he had asked for several other things than a vacuum this year. They both enjoyed opening the presents and playing with new toys. It is so neat to watch kids sit there and listen to every word that Santa has to say. They are so cute.

Aidan's 1st haircut

Well it finally happened we cut Aidan's hair. He was 21 months old. His hair was getting very long in the back and he hated it in his eyes. So Matt cut the back and I cut the front. He did very good. No crying and he didn't try to hit the scissors. He looks so nice and grown up now.

Halloween Costumes

The boys had a great time trick or treating. Ethan was a robot and Aidan was a monkey. Ethan was so excited to see everyone else dressed up. He would stop and let all the kids see his costume. All the kids loved it and wanted to turn the dials and kept asking how he got the lights to work. He got alot of candy and we shouldn't have to be off the sugar high for awhile. Aidan wasn't sure about the whole thing but had no problem taking the candy. We kept watching him walking and trying to steal the candy out of his bag. I'm not sure what they will want to be next year, but I always enjoy making them for them. Ethan was the only one at school that had a homemade costume.

Pumpkin Carving

We visited Grandpa Wayne this weekend and the boys carved pumpkins. Aidan has been learcing to put other peoples shoes on, so he put Donna's high heels on too. He thought he was so funny and he really enjoyed making noises with the heels. He has such a cute smile, but that smile also has a little devil behind it too.

At the zoo.

We took the boys and Matt's cousins to the Rochester zoo yesterday. Ethan is at the right age that he really enjoyed the animals. He said his favorite animal there was the elephant. This was Aidan's first trip to the zoo. He was so good. He kept pointing at the animals yelling, "I see." And the picture above was from when he first saw an elephant. His eyes got so big. He loved the monkey area too. The only bad part about the visit is that Matt got food poisoning after eating a "zoo hot dog" and spent the night sick. He said he is never eating a hot dog again. Ethan says he wants to go to the zoo again after he figures out it was a petting zoo and he was worried the lions and tigers would bite him.

Here are a couple pictures of Ethan in the pumpkin patch. He isn't sure about the weeds in the field so he wouldn't get to far in there, but he did enjoy apple and pear picking in the orchards. The pictures turned out so nice.

We had some fun this weekend and picked pumpkins at Grandpa Rob's farm. I love trying different shots with the camera. Although Aidan looked upset he still had a good time. The sun was in his eyes. He is my little pumpkin in the pumpkin patch.

Ethan's 1st Day

I am writing this at 10:45 am and I have to pick Ethan up at 11:30 from his 1st day of Pre-School. He was a little nervous this morning and didn't really want to eat breakfast. He was excited about going but was hoping that I would stand out in the coat room and wait for him there. He cried when I told him good-bye and Ms. Colleen and Mr. Phil tried to make him feel ok. It seemed like the boys were a little more scared than the girls. He will have fun and I hope that he makes friends and that I have taught him to be polite and how to behave. People have told me that kids always behave better when the parents are not around, but I still get nervous. Mommy also cried on the way home from dropping him off today. I can't believe that he is that big already, he is such a joy to have. I miss him already, it is way to quite in this house. Aidan likes to nap in the morning. I will let you know how he does later. But enjoy the pictures i took this morning. He got his haircut yesterday and the lady did a buzz cut after Ethan told her that he wanted her to do a spike one.

New Family Picture

I know that it has been awhile, but I wanted to share a couple of pictures that we took this weekend. The boys looked so grown up. We are all doing well. The boys are playing well together and love each other so much. I know that it won't last.

New Years Pic

I wanted to take a minute to show a new picture that our friend took of Aidan, on New Years Day. He is doing so good. He is army crawling around and I think he is trying to pull himself up to things. He likes to get into things that he shouldn't, like electric cords and brothers toys. We can hardly believe that he will be a year old next month. He is weighing over 18 pounds and is over 26 inches long. And he is so cute.
